MILSIG is proud to introduce the new 3rd-generation M17. The Milsig M17 G3.
In early 2014, MILSIG released the M17 CQC and took the new MagFed market by storm. The improved and more durable M17A2 took its place in 2017. Now it is time for the next step. The Milsig M17 G3 is here.
The M17 G3 uses a fully mechanical and internally regulated blow forward system called the HeatCore. The HeatCore has made a name for itself with its extreme ease of maintenance, reliability, and consistency. While the HEAT Core is best known for its mechanical full auto function, its excellent +/- fps consistency over the chronograph has won over many long-range shooters where stable velocities are a must for accurate shooting. The latest version features a softer spring and modified bolt to increase air efficiency and provide a stable feed path for today’s shaped projectiles.
The new M17 G3 is extremely durable; it comes with a steel-reinforced nylon polymer grip frame and receiver, with a short metal free-floating shroud, which is upgradeable to a longer version or any aftermarket free-floating handguard. As the barrel is a matter of personal preference, it is easily upgradeable and comes with a basic short A5 barrel out of the box.
The new hybrid magazine is more compact and flat at the top. Generation 3 (M17 G3) is not compatible with the old square-head magazines (for M17 A2). The new magazine ensures better performance and durability. The M17 G3 makes use of its predecessor’s updates and brings more features to the M17 platform:
- New headless magazine
- New Free-floating shroud and mounting steel nut.
- New durable magwell

About Milsig:
Milsig MagFed Paintball equipment combines tactical-inspired design, durable construction and practical performance for recreational and scenario paintball players. The brand has developed a strong following among players who enjoy magazine-fed paintball and realistic equipment configurations.
Milsig focuses particularly on MagFed platforms and related equipment. As a result, its products appeal to players looking for an alternative to traditional hopper-fed paintball markers.
The range includes markers, magazines, replacement components and compatible accessories. In addition, players can customise selected platforms to suit different playing styles and equipment requirements.
Milsig MagFed Paintball Equipment:
MagFed paintball uses removable magazines rather than relying exclusively on a traditional hopper. Therefore, players need to manage ammunition and reload their equipment during games.
This style of play has become particularly popular in tactical and scenario paintball. Furthermore, MagFed equipment often features a realistic appearance and modular design.
Milsig has developed equipment specifically for this segment of the paintball market. Depending on the model, markers may offer accessory rails, removable magazines and various configuration options.
However, specifications differ between individual products. Always check the marker's caliber, magazine compatibility, air system and ammunition requirements before making your selection.
Markers, Magazines and Accessories:
Choosing the right equipment involves more than selecting a paintball marker. Compatible magazines and accessories also play an important role in building a practical MagFed setup.
For example, carrying spare magazines can make reloading more convenient during organised games. Meanwhile, compatible tactical equipment can help players organise and carry their magazines and other gear.
Replacement components can also help owners maintain existing markers. In addition, regular cleaning and correct maintenance can support reliable performance over time.
Always use magazines, projectiles, air systems and accessories that meet the specifications of your particular marker.
Milsig Products at Dye-Hard Paintball:
Dye-Hard Paintball offers a selection of Milsig products for South African paintball enthusiasts. Available products may include markers, magazines, replacement components and compatible marker accessories.
Whether you are building a new MagFed setup or maintaining existing equipment, choosing compatible components remains essential.
Furthermore, always follow the manufacturer's operating and maintenance instructions. Proper cleaning, inspection and storage can help keep your paintball equipment in good working condition.
