Originally, the Duke Shemagh is a traditional Middle Eastern scarf that soldiers adopted for use in harsh desert climates. Furthermore, the shemagh serves as a highly versatile piece of gear. In addition, it protects your face and neck from sun, wind, and sand during activities such as hunting, hiking, climbing, and fishing. Moreover, users can also adapt it for multiple practical purposes, including use as a blanket, arm sling, sweat rag, or camouflage covering.
