PCP enthusiasts are well aware of the Turkish company Hatsan, which stands out as one of the best brands in the compressed air sector. In 2024, they are releasing several exciting new rifles, and the Tac Boss is one that won’t leave anyone indifferent. Notably, this model comes with two interchangeable grips — one made of wood and another synthetic — giving shooters flexible style and handling options.

Air Capacity and Power

The Tac Boss features a 580 cc carbon fiber tank rated to a maximum of 250 bars of pressure. While it’s set at 24 joules to comply with Spain’s legal limit, it’s possible to increase power up to 50 joules, depending on the caliber and always under the shooter’s responsibility.

In the 5.5 mm caliber, for example, power can be increased up to 42 joules when properly regulated.

Barrel and Sound Moderation

Additionally, the barrel is made from rifled, coated steel, which enhances both accuracy and durability. To make shooting more pleasant, it also includes an effective sound moderator, which helps reduce noise significantly.

Stock Design and Adjustability

The ambidextrous tactical stock is crafted from aluminium and features a rubber butt plate and support piece. Both the height and length of the butt plate are adjustable, while the cheek piece adjusts in height only.

Furthermore, the rifle includes a special butt plate accessory designed specifically for competition shooting, allowing serious shooters to fine-tune their setup.

Safety and Control Features

For safety and monitoring, the Tac Boss includes two pressure gauges — one for tank pressure and one for regulator pressure. Moreover, it features a patented anti-knock system to help prevent accidental discharge.

It also includes a manual safety and an adjustable trigger, allowing a more personalised shooting feel.

Picatinny Rails and Accessory Mounting

To support optics and tactical add-ons, this rifle is equipped with a 22 mm Picatinny upper rail, plus two side rails and one lower rail. As a result, shooters can easily attach scopes, flashlights, lasers, and other accessories with confidence.
