The Artemis SnowPeak PCP Air Rifle GR800S 5.5mm Black is a modern gas ram rifle designed for shooters who want power, accuracy, and durability. Popular in Cape Town and across South Africa, this rifle is ideal for recreational shooting, target practice, and pest control. In addition, it offers smooth shooting performance with reduced recoil and improved consistency.
The GR800S Blade model forms part of the latest Artemis lineup. Moreover, it combines advanced engineering with practical features for everyday use. As a result, it competes strongly with other rifles in the same category.
Why Choose the Air Rifle:
The break-barreled air rifle 5.5mm platform is known for simplicity and reliability. Furthermore, the GR800S uses a 60kg Nitro Gas Ram piston system for smoother firing and improved shot consistency. Because of this, it delivers strong power with less vibration than traditional spring rifles.
This rifle also performs well as a powerful .22 air rifle for pest control. Its velocity reaches approximately 850 FPS, making it suitable for small game hunting and target shooting at medium distances.
Shooters looking for a lightweight hunting air rifle will appreciate the balanced design and ergonomic thumbhole stock. In addition, the polymer construction improves durability while keeping the rifle easy to carry.
Accuracy and Shooting Performance:
The GR800S features a micro-rifled oxidised steel barrel for better pellet stability and precision. Furthermore, the adjustable fiber optic sights improve visibility in different lighting conditions.
In Cape Town and other parts of South Africa, many users choose this rifle as a quiet 5.5mm air rifle for backyard shooting. The Nitro Gas Ram system reduces vibration and mechanical noise, resulting in a smoother shooting experience.
The rifle also includes an 11mm dovetail rail for mounting scopes or red dot optics. Therefore, shooters can easily customise the rifle for hunting or target shooting applications.
