20 x Duke Pepper Storm Refill Kit – Filled with Duke’s world-beating pepper powder, once the refill kit has been assembled using the core from either the Pepper Storm Kit or the core from the Pepper Storm Tripwire Kit, the device will pack an intense sonic punch of approximately 130dB as well as a 5m pepper dispersion 360 degrees around the blast point. It also has a significant hang-time of the pepper so that it affects even the toughest targets.
ONLY to be used in conjunction with the reusable core from Duke’s Pepper Storm Kit or the reusable core from Duke’s Pepper Storm Tripwire Kit.
The Refill Kit comes standard with the following:
- 1 x sealed pepper-filled container
- 1 x replacement kit safety clip
- 1 x replacement tripwire safety clip
- 1 x 12g CO 2 canister
- 1 x centre ring
Reload the CO2 into the core, slide the loaded core into the refill bottle, taking care not to cross-thread the bole, as it may cause the device to leak upon the next use, preventing correct operation.
Throwables
Duke’s range of throwables contains no harmful chemicals, no primers and no thermal reactions, so there is no fire or explosive hazard, which makes them intrinsically safe. The throwables do not fall under the International Explosives Act, so they are totally legal to use in a self-defence situation.

Instructions & Precautions
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
Approximately 5% Major Capsaicinoids in a dry colourless powder format.
ONLY to be used in conjunction with the reusable core from Duke’s Pepper Storm Kit or the reusable core from Duke’s Pepper Storm Tripwire Kit as per images on the packaging. Follow the step-by-step infographic on the inside of the manual.
INSTRUCTIONS:
To be used by professionally trained personnel, military, law enforcement, security, and correctional services as a self-defence product. Reduce injuries or accidental discharge by following these instructions.
Pepper Storm Kit:
Pull the safety clip to ensure that the Pepper Storm can be activated. To activate the device, depress the plunger on the top of the device with a sharp bump, either with the palm of your hand or against a hard surface. Throw the Pepper Storm towards the target, the delay on the device rupture will be approximately 45 seconds from activation. Do not throw the device into a headwind, as the active ingredient can blow back to you. If discharged in a confined space, first let the space stand open for at least 5 minutes before entering, or you may be affected by the active ingredient.
Pepper Storm Tripwire Kit:
Using the pivot handle (as per instructions) to attach the trigger clip. Set up the tripwire. Pull the safety clip to arm the tripwire. To disarm the tripwire, replace the safety clip by using the pivot handle. The delay on the device rupture will be approximately 1 second from activation. We suggest you use the 2 x mounting bracket options, which have been purposely designed for the unit to burst and disperse its payload optimally. (Brackets sold separately)
Spent boles can be replaced by purchasing a refill kit.
PRECAUTIONS:
Do not keep the device in your hands after activation; it could cause physical harm as well as exposure to the active ingredients. Do not incinerate the device, as the internal CO2 canister is under pressure. Store in a cool, dry place; do not expose the device to temperatures over 50°C or under 0°C. Do not use after the expiry date.

FIRST AID: Begin decontamination as soon as you have apprehended or restrained the suspect. Remove the suspect from the contaminated area into the fresh air. Remove all contaminated objects and clothing. Rinse affected areas with soap and running water, rinse out eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes.
DO NOT RUB EYES! Monitor the subject, and get medical assistance if the symptoms persist.
